The Filmon not wait for you.
Personally, when I see the movies or on TV give the musical, I try to avoid them with all my might. Often, because the vocals are very bearable and even too flashy and exuberant, Broadway-style.
Nine however, is different: they sing the right, is sung with gusto, and with a style that I had never seen in any other musical. This is not siginifca be missing sequins, paiettes and so on, but there is no spectacular show of typical, say, a Moulin Rouge rather than a Chicago.
Inspired 8 and 1 / 2 , one of the most representative films of Federico Fellini, Nine tells the story of Guido Contini, the undisputed master of Italian cinema, in a period of artistic fogging. During this crisis Guido will face the problems posed by the paparazzi who follow him wherever he goes, his producer, who wants to work on Italy, what should be the ninth film of the Master, and the various women in his life.
Personally I found the film enjoyable as well - by the way, finally a movie musical that stove-even after the fourth song of exquisite artistic best directed by Rob Marshall, who is still one of the most sophisticated filmmakers Visico as well as veteran film-musical (in fact its Chicago and outside the genre, the beautiful Memoirs of a Giesha ), beautiful photography, capable of to create a Rome and an Italy that may not exist anymore, the beautiful scenery both artificial and natural.
level of the cast, nothing short of stellar: Daniel Day Lewis in the role of Guido Contini, Sophia Loren in the role of the mother, and then Fergie, Judi Dench, not to mention the quartet represented by Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Marion Cotillard and Nicole Kidman inject a large dose of beauty and talent to the film (the surprising interpretation of the blonde girlfriend of Matthew Perry as he sings one of the most successful songs of the musical, " Italian Cinema"). The large group of our own players, including the surprising Ricky Tognazzi and Martina Stella, Valerio Mastandrea, Alessia Piovan and Elio Germano, defends himself well.
Of note, for the less careful, a cameo by Dolce and Gabbana clothes by priests.
In short, I can only speak well of this film. One downside, however large or small, can not find it. Maybe too idealized Italy in a positive sense, but in a time when we talk about us more for our faults that our virtues, so be it a film that pays homage to so lavish our country.
